• ReportGarden is a SaaS product. I was responsible for implementing product features, help the team & manage tech debt to be ready for product roadmap.
• ● Built a standard with well-defined architecture for account linking module. Refactored database designs and wrote data migration scripts supporting backward compatibility.
• ● Migrated the React.js codebase for the reporting module from ES5 to ES6 and added new features which improved user experience.
• ● Built Onboarding module. Improved Onboarding experience for a new user - newly signed-up users don’t have any activity on the product. It helped them understand product workflow.
• ● Improved navigation flows which helped users to understand product features and improved the ease of using them.
• ● Improved performance of app by optimizing rendering time in a lot of pages.
• ● Improved performance of some background workers by optimizing memory utilization about ~80% reduction in allocations.
• ● Observed good engineering practices - Unit testing (rails-rspec and react-jest) - 500+ unit tests with coverage analysis, run on git pre-commit hook, CI workflow.
• ● Came up with framework for custom errors and logging. Added a module for finding root cause and resolution of errors logged. Reduced error frequency from (3k/week → 200/week) which improved apdex score(~1).
• ● Automated admin panel scripts which reduced effort of customer facing team. Handled security issues like csv injection, xss vulnerability.
• ● Built complex react components - custom dropdowns, popups, calendars, complex form flows – autosave, creatable lists, multi-step forms, multi-version forms.
