• Monitoring NFS using Prometheus & Grafana:
• I set up a monitoring solution for NFS metrics using Prometheus and Grafana, leveraging AWS resources for effective visualization. This project enabled comprehensive monitoring of NFS performance.
• Monitoring AWS EKS using Datadog:
• In this project, I integrated AWS EKS metrics with Datadog and configured monitors to trigger alerts on Slack based on specific thresholds. This ensured real-time monitoring and alerting for the EKS environment.
• Operations & Support Maintenance:
• I managed workloads on AWS, provided regular reports, and proactively suggested improvements for infrastructure security and cost optimization. I automated the monitoring of IPSec tunnels on Checkpoint firewalls, managed SSL certificate updates, and enhanced the operation of TrendMicro DSM. Additionally, I developed scripts for patch management and compliance, receiving a Spot award for my contributions.
• Infrastructure Support:
• I managed the infrastructure of a gaming platform with a multi-cluster Kubernetes setup, ensuring the application ran smoothly in both private and public clusters. I optimized costs, automated CI/CD processes with Jenkins, reduced alert noise, and centralized SSL certificate management using GCP services.
• AWS Patch Manager Automation:
• I developed an AWS-native patching solution using Terraform, creating resources such as S3 buckets, SNS topics, CloudWatch log groups, and Lambda functions. This solution facilitated maintenance window management, patching schedules, and notification setups, although it was limited to single-account operations.
• Payment System Design and Implementation:
• I architected and implemented a fully functional payment system for a core banking client using AWS. This project required close collaboration with cross-functional teams and the on-premises firewall team to meet tight deadlines. I designed a hybrid environment and ensured the system was cost-effective and efficient.
