About

Hi, I'm Sriharsh! I'm a Senior Applied Scientist at Outreach, Seattle where I'm trying to improve the quality and features of our conversational intelligence assistant, Kaia, using LLMs and other NLP approaches. I am also still a grad student studying Computational Linguistics at the University of Washington, Seattle, where I am currently pursuing a Master's Thesis in the field of Narrative Understanding under the guidance of Dr. Maria Antoniak. I won the Best Paper Award at the Text2Story workship at ECIR '22 held at Stavanger, Norway, for my work on Generating Character Arcs from Narratives. I've worked as a Data Scientist II (NLP) at Klevu Oy and have 4 years of industrial experience in a variety of ML/NLP and analytics tasks. Prior to the UW, I've been educated in Computer Science (B.Tech) and Computational Linguistics (MS) at IIIT-Hyderabad, where I was advised by Dr. Manish Shrivastava. I write poetry, fiction and blog posts about random things in the universe. Some people may have suffered through a read of my first book, 'sorting through paperwork after midnight'. My sincere apologies if you were one of the unsuspecting victims.
