• Developed, helped to build, tested and delivered an MVP for Plants Exports DEFRA incorporating multiple microservices (DropWizard, SpringBoot and NodeJs) deployed on Azure cloud infrastructure on CI/CD environment.
• Lead the work to redesign and re-architect the application's main page data retrieving logic and process. As a result, the data loading performance has been increased by 400%.
• Designed and developed a tree-based architecture to store the page's title content inside configuration files. The static content no longer resides in source files and it can be changed and reloaded just by a service restart.
• Increased the project code coverage from 70% to over 90%.
• Designed and deployed an Azure Function to clear the old test data from test environments on a configurable interval.
• Redesigned the data purge process of Seleniums automated tests and resolved numerous SQL deadlocks errors. This resulted in a decrease of false positive tests and a shorter time to build and deploy on test environments.
• Lead the work to read the application secrets from Azure Key Vault and Azure Service, assuring an immediate refresh of them right after an automated service restarts, instead of a manual redeployment.
• Mentored and supported other senior members of the team and helped onboarding new members.
