Started programming by passion, ended up doing it for a living :) I got my first computer at age of 10 with Ubuntu & Windows XP. When I got internet at 11, I discovered Orkut & Facebook. I was curious about how this thing worked, how I could instantly message my cousins on the other side of India. That curiosity led me to searching on the internet, finding out PHP (because Facebook was created with it). I created my own Google & Facebook network of sites in PHP with the most bad coding practices. Rails+React. Wrote the first lines of NeetoCal.com (a Calendly alternative) as a junior engineer, scaled and later led a team of 4 developers.
I had worked on the most complicated part of the product:
Wrote an efficient algorithm + extensive unit testing for showing available time slots comparing multiple data sources (Working hours, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, iCloud Calendar, +20 other settings) along with a fancy frontend troubleshooter too to see why a slot is shown unavailable
Managed efficient background jobs to get data sources in sync. iCloud didn't support webhooks, so we had to poll efficiently

The lobby project

Created the whole project, had many various components. It was like a WordPress framework for desktop apps. It had an app store, a modular plugin system like WordPress: https://github.com/LobbyOS/lobby
The most obscure thing I did for this project was spending HUNDREDS OF HOURS in compiling PHP for Android. But it was one hell of a learning experience.
NikiC of php-dev was helpful in solving some obscure problems. I messaged in Stackoverflow chat's php channel and he was such a nice person to help this 15 year old kid compiling PHP for Android for lord knows what ! I had to make modifications of C source code of PHP to make it compile for Android. And each compilation took the longest time ever since my computer was a potato.
