Currently, as a part of my research I am trying to understand neural correlates of design processes using electroencephalography (EEG). My overall work involves capturing and analysing bio-markers like EEG, GSR, HRV, body temperature, BVP of designers while they are designing in order to co-relate their physiological and/or neurophysiological responses to the underlying design process. The goal is to develop bio-marker based metrics for evaluating the outcomes of the design process as well as the process itself. My research aims at reducing the subjectivity occurring in traditional evaluation methods such as verbal protocol analysis by taking into account physiological responses of designers. This study also aims at exploring EEG as a medium to quantify mental effort (cognitive load) and use it for evaluating performance of digital softwares. I have also worked as a UI/UX designer in the industry with 3.5 years of experience prior to getting into research. I specialise in applying design thinking for addressing challenges in enterprise applications catering to operations, sales, talent management & data management within the agile framework. I have closely worked with developers in the past for designing responsive websites, mobile applications, voice interactions for AI-driven chatbots, hyper-personalized engagement platforms for hiring candidates, business-specific datamart, data analytics platforms & sales support applications. In my free time,I like to socialize, make digital illustrations, read about Indian crafts, and play the sitar.
