Location: Mashrakh, Saran – Bihar State Power Transmission Company Ltd.
Role & Responsibilities:
Observed and understood the operation and maintenance of a high-voltage grid substation.
Studied the layout and function of components such as Power Transformers (132/33 kV, 50 MVA), SF6 Circuit Breakers, CTs, PTs, Isolators, Lightning Arresters, and Wave Traps.
Gained hands-on exposure to the real-time power distribution system, including 132 kV transmission and 33 kV distribution networks.
Assisted in field inspections, and reviewed the status and functioning of incoming/outgoing feeders.
Learned about protection mechanisms, busbar arrangements, and system safety protocols essential for stable substation operations.
Key Project:
🛠️ Independently designed the complete Single Line Diagram (SLD) of GSS Mashrakh using Microsoft Visio, mapping real-world component interconnections based on actual field observation and schematic study.
