About

I build backend systems that are fast, safe, and built to last — from low-level Rust FFI bindings for cross-platform print infrastructure to microservices architectures handling high-concurrency workloads. Currently wrapping up my B.Tech in ECE at IIIT Una, I was selected for Google Summer of Code 2025 with The Linux Foundation — one of the most competitive open-source programs globally — where I engineered idiomatic Rust abstractions over a C library (cpdb-libs), wrote 50+ unit and integration tests, and cut CI build time by 3 minutes per run through Docker containerization and parallelized GitHub Actions workflows. Before that, I contributed 500+ lines of production C code to OpenPrinting's libcupsfilters, enabling JPEG-XL support across the Linux printing stack — every change passed CI with zero regressions across 3+ repositories. I was among the top 4% of 80,000+ applicants selected for Amazon ML Summer School 2025, and ranked Global #92 in ICPC AlgoQueen — a worldwide DSA competition. I don't just pass coding rounds; I place in them. My side projects reflect the same rigor: ShadowNet is a Python/FastAPI threat-detection microservice with Redis queues, real-time AbuseIPDB enrichment, and APT-pattern detection. My Online Coding Judge implements a sandboxed, Docker-containerized execution engine with Redis + Bull job queues that handles concurrent C++ submissions without blocking the main thread. Stack: Rust · C · C++ · Python · Node.js · Redis · MongoDB · Docker · GitHub Actions · Linux Open to backend developer, systems software, or infrastructure engineering roles. Let's build something with real stakes.

  • Designed and built CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane, GitLab CI/YAML, and automation scripts to automate builds, generate .ipa artifacts, and trigger success/failure notifications — reducing manual release effort by 90%.
  • Architected real-time session management and state synchronisation across screens using Swift, managing shared application state, lifecycle events, and live location data streams with a focus on data-flow correctness.
  • Integrated and consumed RESTful backend APIs within the client layer, enforcing strict separation of concerns and OOP design principles to keep business logic fully decoupled from the view layer.
  • Implemented real-time map tracking by engineering the data pipeline between the location services layer and backend session state, ensuring consistency between client-side state and server-side records.

  • Built production-grade Rust FFI bindings for cpdb-libs — a C library used in cross-platform (Linux/macOS) print workflows — using bindgen and hand-written wrappers, resolving integration blockers that blocked safe consumption from Rust-native codebases.
  • Replaced unsafe raw C pointer patterns with idiomatic Rust abstractions, improving memory safety and eliminating undefined behavior at the API boundary.
  • Authored 50+ unit and integration tests (cargo-llvm-cov + Codecov), achieving measurable coverage and enabling confident iteration by downstream contributors.
  • Containerized the test suite with Docker and restructured GitHub Actions workflows to run jobs in parallel — reducing per-run CI build time by 3 minutes, directly improving contributor velocity.

  • Integrated JPEG-XL image format support into the CUPS stack (libcupsfilters), enabling next-generation image decoding in Linux printing pipelines — a format gap that blocked modern print workflows on POSIX systems.
  • Contributed 500+ lines of production C code across filters and tooling; achieved a 100% CI pass rate with zero regressions across 3+ interconnected repositories.
  • Triaged and resolved 10+ issues spanning MIME handling, diagnostic logging, and inter-repo dependencies — coordinating with maintainers across the OpenPrinting ecosystem. Ranked 2nd out of 500+ participants in Winter of Code 4.0 for this contribution.
