One example allowed for the mapping of any selected pixel on a 2D image of an object onto its corresponding position on a 3D model, increasing the product’s sticker price from £10,000 to £15,000.
• Optimised image processing algorithms in a .NET software codebase, written in C# using WPF, for a machine-vision system capable of detecting luminescence even in direct sunlight. Frames-per-second increased by over 200% as a result, sparking interest from clients in the US, China and Germany.
• Provided groundbreaking improvements for a handheld industrial ultraviolet inspection lamp, resulting in the longest battery life for any such inspection lamp commercially available, sitting at over 20 hours. The lamp utilised an embedded microprocessor, programmed in C, to regulate a constant output intensity.
