  • I was in charge of telling people, "Maybe it would be a good idea not to poke your eyes with sharp sticks". My greatest accomplishment was getting the company to use only blunt sticks. I feel that if I had been there 10 more years I may have convinced the company that they shouldn't poke their eyes with sticks at all.

  • I joined right before the campaign fell apart. I had enough time to help with internal IT issues (helpdesk, networking, security), rework some of the email processing/CRM issues they had, and I traveled to some of their remote sites to help shut them down one the campaign was over. Most importantly, I learned a lot about politics and organizing. Working on a presidential campaign is extremely educational... like looking "under the hood" at how our world works and seeing how it works for real.
