  • Title: Architecture engineering as a route to enhance performance, stability and reproducibility of oxide TFTs
  • The objective of my thesis was to assess the effectiveness of non-traditional Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) architecture, specifically Dual-Gate structures, in minimizing the impact of interface defects on device performance.
  • I spent 6 months working in a clean room, producing the TFTs using different thin-film deposition techniques as well as photolithography techniques. I also characterized all samples using different methods and material characterization techniques. CAD simulations of the devices were also made in order to predict the optimal architectural parameters.
  • This study contributes insights into innovative approaches for improving TFT performance, with potential applications in various electronic devices such as smart surfaces, wearable technology and IoT applications.
