• I led the end-to-end development of PerceptPixel, a high-performance image processing and delivery platform, built to support real-time transformations and intelligent image serving at scale. Used across Udaan, Pickily and other clients, the platform was designed for both low and high-bandwidth environments.
• 1. Real-time Image Transformation Engine
• Built a dynamic service for on-the-fly image resizing, background removal, background replacement, tagging, and optimization — powering production-grade pipelines for both Udaan and PerceptPixel.
• 2. Backend Architecture & Services
• Designed and implemented core backend systems including:
• Role-based Authentication & Authorization
• Credit tracking/limits and usage-based billing tied to API calls and image transformations
• Scalable storage, image management (folders, metadata, organization)
• 3. External Storage Integration
• Wrote a external storage hosting solution. This allows image transformation hosted on the customer infra or website with some config addition on Perceptpixel CDN.
• 4. API Documentation

• 5. Monitoring & Reliability
• Set up observability infrastructure for error tracking, performance metrics, and alerting to maintain high availability and SLAs.
• 6. CI/CD & Deployment Infrastructure
• Kubernetes deployment pipelines using github actions for quick, safe, and daily multiple deployments with zero downtime on k8s infrastructure.
• 7. WordPress Integration
• Built a custom WordPress plugin to enable real-time transformation and automatic URL updates on WordPress-powered sites, extending PerceptPixel’s reach.
• 8. Team Collaboration & Mentorship
• Mentored SDE2s on code quality, deployment best practices, and architectural decisions. Worked very closely with the designers, senior engineers and leadership.
