In 2011, Vidya co-founded BlueStone, a pioneer in the Indian omni-channel jewellery space. Having identified a significant unaddressed market opportunity to sell affordable contemporary jewellery online, Vidya built the early business, raised capital from marquee VCs and laid the foundation for the incredible growth story of Bluestone over the subsequent decade. In 2013, Vidya co-founded Tailorman, a made to measure menswear brand offering high-quality, custom-made formalwear. Vidya has successfully positioned Tailorman as a leader in the made-to-measure menswear segment in India, blending craftsmanship with modern retail practices. Vidya began her career in the finance industry in the UK starting as a Fixed Income Analyst at Goldman Sachs in London before transitioning to an investment banking role at Barclays Capital. Upon returning to India, she initially headed the supply chain vertical at Landmark Retail (now part of TATA Trent) and was subsequently a Strategy & Operations Consultant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She holds a B.Sc. (Honors) in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, UK, and an MBA from INSEAD Business School, France.
