Numerical Approximation of Fractal Dimensions
Approximated the dimensions of fractals like Apollonian Gasket, Julia Sets by applying Box-Counting Dimension method using Matlab and compared the results with theoretical values determined by Hausdorff Dimension.
For continued fraction representation of numbers in [0 ,1], the results are accurate up to 7 decimal points.
Improved the accuracy of Box-Counting dimensions by 2 decimal points using hashing technique that picks out distinct boxes containing fractal points.
