Today the company is present in India, Asia, Africa, and the UK, with brands in personal care, skincare, homecare, male grooming, home and commercial lighting, and a newly established Foods Business. Key brands include Santoor, Chandrika, Enchanteur, Romano and Yardley. Grew Santoor to USD 300 million, making it the #2 soap brand in India. Established a new Foods Business in 2022 with the acquisition of Nirapara in 2022 and Brahmins in 2023, both of which have a broad portfolio in spices and ready-to-cook instant mixes. Led the largest overseas personal care acquisition by an Indian company by acquiring Unza, South East Asia's leading personal care company, for $300Mn in 2007. As head of the business, made fourteen acquisitions (investing $1Bn+) including Yardley, Singapore-based LD Waxsons, China-based Zhonghshan Ma Er, Filipino company Splash Corporation and South African Canway Corporation. Set up Wipro Consumer Care’s venture capital arm, Wipro Consumer Care Ventures, with a corpus of INR 2.0 Bn, that has invested in nine startups in India and SE Asia, (upto $3Mn per startup), and a consumer focussed VC fund based in Singapore.
