Vishnu Lakkimsetty — Software Engineer

Vishnu is currently working as an Associate Software engineer at Oracle and has a total experience of 2+ years in the Software industry. He joined Oracle as a college graduate from NIT Jamshedpur in the ECE domain and got good exposure to a few domains of the software industry. He is now currently contributing to developing core Java Framework that helps in building code and deployment of different Oracle applications and enables the support to few DevOps and Release functions. Prior to that, he worked for the Cloud Automation team which developed automation utilities using Chef based infrastructure for an end to end provisioning of Oracle utility products in Oracle Cloud. He also developed a Bridge framework that supported the transition of Oracle Cloud services to the Oracle Microservices platform using OCI as the backbone. During this development phase, he got decent exposure to develop the application using Java, other CI/CD tools like Gradle, Maven, etc and also designed some features of this framework. He was awarded twice with the "Employee Recognition Award" by Oracle management for his performance in terms of work. Apart from working at Oracle, he is developing his own web application using Java as backend support to help retail merchants in managing their inventory, Billing and daily to daily activities. Prior to Oracle, he working as an intern for the IoT team at CyberEye owned by the iB group. As part of this, he worked on the project “Dynamics of IoT protocols and architecture in Wireless sensor networks” and learned about client-server architecture and MQTT protocol. With this learning, he developed a software/hardware-based project "IOT based Smart Garbage and Waste Collection Bin" which is smart enough to sense the garbage level in the Dustbin and sending the alerts through Wi-fi network to the concerned teams and displaying the status in a web page. He got a few interests in cultural activities. He played various stage plays in childhood and in his corporate cultural activity programs. He is decent at playing badminton and won 3rd prize along with his team as part of the Intra Oracle UGBU Badminton Tournament - 2019. To get rid of boredom in his free time, he spends time reading novels and writing a few articles/blogs on an online publishing platform like Medium. His passion is to grow technically in the software and business industry and like to develop his network with people who share similar interests.
