Hi, I’m Yatharth Vashisth, currently working as a Software Engineer 2 at Oracle. I joined Oracle in 2022 after completing my B.Tech in Computer Science from IIIT Gwalior. Over the past few years, I’ve gained extensive experience in backend and full stack development, primarily using Java, Oracle SQL, Spring Boot, MongoDB, TypeScript and our internal JavaScript framework. I'm currently Full-Stack Software Engineer in Oracle NetSuite ERP (the world’s #1 cloud-based ERP platform) “Global Tax” team, delivering enterprise-scale tax computation, auditing, reporting, and compliance workflows across multi-jurisdictional environments. I’m currently leading the Prompt Payment Discount feature, delivering configurable tax-inclusive discount calculations with backend logic in Java and Oracle SQL, UI development through our internal JavaScript framework, and asynchronous adjustment record creation using multi-threaded concurrency for high-throughput, non-blocking processing. I’ve designed and implemented SuiteTax, a distributed advanced tax processing service in core Java, optimizing tax code/type, nexus, and credit memo lookups for high-volume, multi-region transactions with sub-second response times and global scalability. I work closely with product managers, QA, and cross-functional teams on architecture decisions, performance tuning, and cloud deployments, while also mentoring junior engineers. Previously, I developed the Tax Audit Files module to generate SAF-T and other country-specific audit reports for millions of transactions. I enhanced NetSuite’s Supplementary Tax Calculation service to support multi-rate, cascading, and compound taxes, and optimised Philippines and Spain audit reports, reducing generation time from 3 hours to 1 hour through query optimisation and efficient data structuring. I also built the Singapore Localization SuiteApp (Node.js + TypeScript) with VAT/IRAS reports, e-filing, and customised transaction forms, and led the Singapore GST F5 Return e-filing feature, integrating API submissions to IRAS with frontend validation, real-time status tracking, and user-friendly error handling. Across all projects, I’ve managed the end-to-end SDLC, including resolving high-priority customer issues independently. I enjoy solving complex backend challenges, optimising performance, and delivering full stack features that enhance product compliance, improve user experience, and create tangible customer value.
