These days I am part of an initiative to build a ML, GIS, Maps platform that can mitigate the effect of climate change at a scale that has never been intended before. The work build intelligence around agriculture lands to identify boundaries, crop names, yields, crop burning, bailing, tilling, dry seeding activities. We doing at scale of multi 100Millions, with visualization and update capabilities on Maps. At Google, I contributed to the Long term revenue with ranking of search advertisements(search quality). Search advertisements is about a $100B revenue and has a complex stack. I worked on the initiative to improve keyword filtering(to avoid queries to run through expensive ads stack), click through (CTR) models as well as auction and bidding algorithms. These models leveraged tensorflow, tensor processing unit(TPU) and ran at a scale of billions of queries per day. I have an immense understanding of ride hailing space. I was part of the early team at Taxi for sure and then at Ola. These Uber for India like startups provided me the opportunity to understand marketplace business models. I worked on improving supply and demand by helping in building platforms such as Incentive platform and signal platform. These platforms that enabled serving ML and heuristic models allowed demand and supply shaping to optimize for growth and revenue. These models and platform reduced manual dependency by a wide margin and helped in improving overall experience for drivers and customers. The automated system saved around $100M/year. Worked on pricing/allocation to improve the GMV by >100%, and improved the premium category sales by 70%. I built the pickup and drop recommendations to improve the customer experience with top-5 accuracy of >95%. I believe in excellence and I have been mentoring young engineers to help them achieve their goals. I have mentored 60 engineers in software development and ML. Some work in NLP in pending patent, and few are under consideration. I'm also in advisor role at doiima.network.
