  • My supervisor was Prof. Sanjeev Goyal and my advisor was Prof. Hamid Sabourian.
  • As member of the Microeconomic Theory Group my work focused on investigating traditional microeconomic topics in the context of social and economic networks. My models make the relationship structure between economic agents explicit and analyse its impact on economic outcomes.
  • My thesis has two broad topics: intermediation in networked markets and conflict. In the first paper I analyse how intermediaries' knowledge of each others competitiveness affects prices and welfare in networked markets. In the second paper (http://www.mimuw.edu.pl/~amosild/ec194-full.pdf) I analyse a stylized model of international conflict and determine the requirements for peace. In a third paper I analyse the role of spying in conflict-resolution. A fourth paper analyses political party competition and the effects of turnout on polarisation.
