• Designed and implemented a pluggable recommendation engine framework, supporting multiple ML strategies for the Universal Smart Shelf widget on the Amazon Detail page. Integrated customer preference attributes for dynamic strategy selection. Lead a team of six engineers to deliver an optimized engine, keeping latency less than 500 ms, and scaling to 60,000 transactions per second (TPS). The engine has supported over 300 strategies, spanning across 4 million products on Amazon.com, earning a year-over-year revenue of $500 million.
• Lead the design and development of the Similar Items widget on the Amazon.com search page. Worked across eight cross-platform teams to build this personalized product recommendation widget for the search results page. Integrated customer order history with a similarity-based recommendation engine to support similar item products, keeping the latency below 400 ms and supporting widget availability for 12 million products searched across Amazon, earning more than $420M in revenue.

• Working as a SDE 1 at Amazon Consumer Payments Team at Banglore,India
• Implemented the CVS payment method discovery on the Amazon JP retail website, enhanced user experience through data-driven payment method presentation to enable customers to track the status of payments and orders on YourOrder and the Order Detail page, keeping the latency requirement to less than 500 ms. Achieved dramatic improvements in key metrics: a 52% decrease in abandoned orders, and a 3x growth in the customer conversion rate (from 20% to 60%) from other payment methods.
• Led the design and implementation of a critical company-wide payment processing infrastructure migration for the CVS payment method in Japan. Implemented a zero-downtime migration strategy, maintaining 100% feature parity between legacy and new systems, and improved payment processing by 2000 ms on the new platform. Owned end-to-end delivery of critical payment use cases for authorization, charge, cancellation, and refund. Collaborated with the product team in Japan and the payment services tech team in the United States to deliver the end-to-end solution. The delivery enabled us to continue to bill for the CVS payment method, which has 47% coverage across all payment methods used in JP, with $100M YOY revenue.
