• 1. Leadership and Team Management: Led a team of 15 engineers, including Backend, Manual, and Automation QA, to develop marquee features for the Gameplay Engineering team, which is the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of Dream11, directly impacting our 140M+ user base.
• 2. Operational Excellence: Ensured 99.99% uptime, particularly achieving 100% uptime after the toss, by employing state-of-the-art techniques in monitoring, alerting, fault tolerance, and infrastructure redundancy. Implemented seamless failover strategies to maintain service continuity.
• 3. Talent Acquisition and Hiring: Compiled a comprehensive interview process and spearheaded the hiring of backend engineers, successfully attracting top talent to relocate to Mumbai and work from the office four days a week.

• 1. Built a Real-Time Leaderboard capable of crunching 30M entries within 7 seconds over 60M+ RPM throughput on the application layer. What this means is - in an IPL final match when Rohit Sharma scores a boundary - leaderboard calculation and display occurs within seconds for our massive user-base to enjoy a highly-dynamic, engaging and real-time fantasy sports gaming experience.
• 2. Led a lean team of 8 engineers to build low latency, highly scaleable, fault tolerant and distributed applications that spoil our 110M+ (and growing...) users with engaging features, some of which are outlined below.
• 3. Rearchitected and rewrote THE MOST IMPORTANT service (and feature) in the Dream11 ecosystem, Team Service 2.0. Watch the attached video for details. Long story short, achieved a scaleable and highly available architecture with Strong Consistency at 1M+ TPS (R/W ratio of 12:1) and resilience to Single AZ failure, Split brain and Cluster failure, employing an Active-Active setup of the backing store thus ensuring durability and fault tolerance.
• 4. Rearchitected and rewrote a highly scaleable and real-time Contest Segmentation engine that serves millions of segmented (and personalised) contests to our colossal user-base. Provided an interface to Product Managers to create real-time experiments that decide who sees what, on the Contest Listing page. Empowered creation of thousands of experiments over multiple user-cohorts across a large scale of Products (contest variants) on different sections of the app, with a p99 service latency of 25ms at 10M RPM.
• 5. Built a Real-Time Fantasy Commentary service ensuing a marriage between Fantasy Gaming and Match Commentary i.e. our users are provided with ball-by-ball info superimposed with the performance of their fantasy teams. Ensured a p99 latency of less than 25ms over 80M+ RPM with a rack-aware configuration.

• Responsibilities include developing the entire FXT-ION Integration on Wealth Management Trade Processing. It includes designing and implementing related processes using the Microservices architecture. Zookeeper is used for Service Discovery and IBM MQ for message passing. Load balancing is handled using Consistent Hashing while the services are implemented using Java over the Spring framework.
• Apart from the day job, leading two interest groups each on Competitive Programming and Machine Learning. Meetings are scheduled every week to discuss new algorithms, data-structures, programming competitions, et. al. On the Machine Learning front, discussions on ML algorithms, their math and pertinent use-cases in business are discussed with detail.

• Responsibilities include developing the entire Fixed Income Clearance flow for Global Wealth management towards Post-trade execution. It includes designing and implementing processes like trade validation, transformation, enrichment, state management, etc. Made use of a plethora of design pattern principles in the implementation that houses the latest developments in Java 8.
• As a side project, conceived, designed and developed a backend for a trade spying web application that spies on a trade flowing through various micro-architectures running in standalone systems that process the trade. It basically displays the whereabouts of the trade from its inception to its successful or exceptional culmination through various heterogeneous systems, which can be used by the Dev or QA team while investigating about trade footprint. Mentoring a 6-month intern currently who is developing a front-end for this app.

• Responsibilities include complete rewriting of existing tech-stack as part of multi-year strategic re-engineering program. It encapsulates understanding current business logic and modelling it into business rules using a Rules Engine Framework. Also, a part of analysis and design of an exception management workflow to process trade breaks.
• As a Machine Learning enthusiast, consulted on a project for Trade Confirmations which involved determining validity of a trade based on its attributes based on some well-defined rules. Made use of PCA for feature selection and an array of ML algorithms like Random Forests, C4.5, KNN, and Stepwise Logistic Regression. Weka and its java API were used for implementation.

• Started with and successfully completed Morgan Stanley's Graduate level Technology Analyst Program (TAP). TAP is an extensive 6 month course which provides training in Operating Systems (Unix), Programming Languages (C++, Java, C#, Scala), Database Systems (DB2, Sybase), Web-based frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS), Back-end technologies (Apache CXF, MQ), etc. The program is concluded with a 3-week long project involving application of the above learnt technologies.

• Designed a portal that consisted of a web interface for managing the progress of removals, and a set of menu-driven tools for picking, packing and shipping the items to be removed. Basically, it is used to view an all-round information about removal orders from their in-flux to the out flux into the Vendor Returns system. I have designed the front-end and middleware for this system using Amazon's next-gen web platform architecture. Finally, we have globalized the portal to be used in fulfillment centers all round the world.
