I'm Parth Vinod Patil, a Robotics Engineer with over three years of experience developing advanced autonomous systems. Currently pursuing my Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. I specialize in controls, navigation, and machine learning. I led the development of a swarm of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and architected a Fleet Management Service capable of managing any fleet of robots. I'm passionate about robotics and building convoluted software systems. I have always enjoyed mathematics and programming and solving real-world problems using them.

Our AUV, named MATSYA, has a 5 million INR budget and is equipped with visual, acoustic, and depth sensors, and underwater communication systems for realistic naval missions.
  • As the Software Subdivision Lead for AUV-IITB from July 2019 to June 2020, I led the team to secure first place in the NIOT SAVe competition in 2016 and 2018 with a 100% task completion rate and reach the semi-finals of RoboSub 2019. I also integrated YOLO V2 for vision, resulting in a significant increase in detection accuracy for abstract objects, and developed a Minimal Mission planner that required 80% fewer parameters than the existing planner.
