• I worked at Studio Libeskind as part of a one-week externship during spring break of 2018. During the one week, I worked on physical models of furniture designed as part of ‘Fundamental elements, a limited edition of design and furnishings’ on stage in London at David Gill Gallery. My work involved modeling the design in Rhino and working with a laser cutter to make paper and acrylic models.

• I worked as a research assistant with Prof Robert Adams, Director of MS in Design and Health program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
• Under his guidance, I developed an interest in sensors and motion mapping. I researched responsive lanterns using motion sensors and Arduino for UABB Shenzhen Biennale, China. I developed as part of a team, motion enabled lanterns to guide visitors to exhibit which we later installed on site for the exhibition in December 2017. I also worked as part of the documentation team for his studio in Ann Arbor.

• I worked as a Project Investigator to study the role of study breaks in reducing stress among the students at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. It involved surveying the identified green space around the Shapiro Undergraduate library, studying the mental health and the impact of stress on students through questionnaires, and proposing possible uses to the green space to alleviate stress.

• Ovoid Atelier is an architecture office based out of the city of Pondicherry in Southern India. I led the design team and executed a model apartment for a $2.5 million mixed-use development named Kalpana Housing comprising of 42 apartments and 4 offices. I coordinated drawings with Structural, MEP and HVAC consultants. I researched construction materials to balance costs versus aesthetics, physical properties, ease of use and assembly requirements as part of the construction management team.
• During my time at Ovoid, I started as an architect and worked my way to a project lead/ senior architect. Being hands-on, the office culture gave me a distinct opportunity to learn wood and metal fabrication skills. I inculcated an interest in detailing and materials exploration while I designing renovation proposals for residences, apartments, and hotels. I also designed and executed interiors while working on detailed floor plans and custom furniture.

• ATA is a restoration and conservation design office located in New Delhi, India. I worked here as an Architect for 15 months after completing undergraduate school in 2013.
• As part of the design team, I worked on restoration proposals for projects including a steam locomotive museum, the Doon school, and the Chamundamata Temple. I was part of the team conducting site visits, client meetings, and opportunity analysis. While at this office, I also researched project feasibility, developed building assessments and structural analyses. Some of my key responsibilities included drafting technical details, condition mapping, and historical layering for proposals.
