As a doctoral researcher, and through my experience at the grassroots, I am fascinated by how people find meaning and cope with difficult circumstances. I wish to understand these experiences to try and bring about policy changes to mitigate such difficult circumstances. My primary interest lies in studying various human rights violations (especially gender-based) that may not be very apparent in context (such as sexual harassment at workplace in India) and the impact it has on the survivors’ identity. Other interests include qualitative research (especially, interpretive phenomenological analysis), and understanding how socio-cultural contexts influence a phenomenon.
