I get shit done. Give me an analytical/design problem to solve and I'll figure out the means to achieve that end. For the past 3 years I've been using my skills in the domain of Software Engineering. My experience so far has involved, amongst other stuff, designing components for a technically complex software architecture, and writing code to bring them to life (prod), taking ownership of legacy code and making it maintainable and modular. On software, I've worked with multiple languages: C++, Java, Kotlin, Python, Bash, Golang, etc. Similarly I'm familiar with other frameworks and utilities: The Unix Command line and a few Linux distributions(Ubuntu/Arch), Kubernetes, Bigtable, GCP, AWS, Elasticsearch, Bigquery, etc. The primary reason for me working in software other than my love for analytical challenges is my love for capitalism. I'm a libertarian at heart whose motivation lies in providing increasingly higher value to the shareholders of the company so as to honorably justify getting increasingly higher compensation for myself. It's my sincere belief that the more value I provide to a scalable system, the more value the scalable system provides to the company, which in turn provides more value to its customers and the broader economy and grows the company's revenue and along with that, my compensation. And software is one of the best places to make that impact at scale. I love Math, Programming, Finance and Macroeconomics. I play a bit of bullet chess here and there and do some competitive programming. Teaching is my secondary passion in life.
