• I head the SRE and engineering infrastructure (systems) operations for Grab Financial Group across SE Asia on AWS, Azure, GCP, AzureStack and bare metal servers. Being the first member of team and first few engineering hires in Bangalore, worked on greenfield project to establish engineering best practices using containers, cloud agnostics stack, IAAC and CI/CD. Grew the SRE team to 10 while helping to grow the engineering team to 200. Enabled and empowered engineering teams to own components end to end in production while leading the SRE teams to provide self serve platforms. Reporting to the CTO, I did end to end set up of new infrastructure in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. Worked with various stakeholders to satisfy geolocation requirements related to data and privacy for 3 countries so far with more in the pipeline. Did DataCenter evaluations, cost negotiations and vendor management to deliver projects in time to meet audit and compliance requirements. Ensured all operational tools and services follow the same engineering practices as app micro-services; being written in Go, build and deployed using the same pipelines.
