Muskan Atar — Product Manager
Hi, I am Muskan. I like to make people laugh. Since, I can't see you in person, here I am writing jokes. Apart from writing, I love pampering myself with steaming ginger tea, chocolate ice cream, creamy cold coffee, misal pav, bread omelet, and guava. I also take serotonin from dancing my heart out, doing mini artistic stuff, lifting weights, playing badminton/basketball once in a while, performing on stage, and watching movies. During my MBA, I came to know about product management. They told me I don't have to make any hiring or promotion decisions and I was like—Yes, I am in. Now, I think it is the most difficult part of my job—to influence without authority. However, if I do it right, I believe I can become a good leader. I crave being a good leader. Being bad and holding a leadership position is a big no-no for me. The second thing that fascinated me about product management is executing alongside cross-functional teams. It is one of the few roles where you interact with so many teams that, if you ever decide to build your startup, you’ll have a fair idea of where to begin. Moreover, it helps you develop a mindset that considers both the user and the business simultaneously—a rare trait to have. If you talk to good product managers, you’ll understand what I am saying. The third and final thing I love about product management is the constant learning. Every day is a new day. Every sunrise shows a different color. If you are curious and shameless like me, you will adore this part of the job. It's not like I love everything about PMing but that's the topic for some another time. Also, I lied—I am a big big fitness enthusiast but I am not so good at it. I play badminton/basketball or lift weights but like a baby. A very cute baby. Coming back to my professional life, I love building consumer products. I envision working in different industries, solving problems, and creating meaningful solutions. I like to work with teams who are willing to learn, adapt, and grow. That’s it! The rest is in my experience and education section. I hope you had fun. Cheers :)
