  • Filed 2 patents & built 3 micro services which grabs costs of 10K+ Git repos, visualizes data and notifies implementers via Slack of overspent repos, thus assessing growing AWS expenditures (currently $300M+)
  • Owned patent process on cost-tracking platform after winning 1st place in division-wide hackathon with 2,715 associates
  • Directed AWS savings on how teams should budget which got featured in CEO’s product strategy call of 26k+ associates
  • Spearheaded initiative to reduce AI/ML cloud costs for Capital One’s flagship chatbot (Eno), which gets 1Bn+ monthly interactions, by leading the full product development lifecycle, thus decreasing AWS costs by ~50% ($400K+ savings YTD)
  • Led market research by conducting 15+ business analysis interviews with cross-functional team leadership, thus identifying key issue: onus of AWS budget falls on leadership (VPs/Directors) not feature implementers (engineers/leads)
  • Created narrative for product management directors to adopt cost platform during growth of team from 2 to 7 engineers
  • Pitched $250M+ call center opportunity to VP after initiating ENOHACKs, selecting theme of creating AI persona chatbots

Software Engineering Intern, iOS, Research and Development Team

Jun 2019 – Aug 2019 · 2 mos · Plano, Texas, United States

  • In 2019, I had started my first official tech internship. Prior to starting I had made a strong preference to be matched with iOS as I had just come out of 24-week, iOS bootcamp by CodePath. I wanted to use this as a chance to hone in on what I learned and see how industry tackles mobile dev. I requested that if I cannot be put in a mobile team, my next preference would be r&d.
  • I got to be one of two interns out of 50+ interns in TX to work with the iOS team which also happened to be a former r&d team. Choosing work you want is often luck but I "shooted" my shot and was pleased with what I got.
  • Built 5+ iOS features resulting in $1 million+ in auto-financing within 8 weeks of app launch
  • Developed GPS map geo-fences on bookmarked cars triggering notifications when breached
  • Created algorithm in Swift optimizing user movement around Apple’s location limitations
  • Top-10 teams from 550+ Software Engineering Interns in internal hackathon across 7 offices

Google

Google Cloud Student Ambassador

Apr 2019 – Jun 2019 · 2 mos

  • In 2019, I attended Hack RPI whose lead organizer spearheaded Google Cloud workshops. I was really impressed by his wide grasp of cloud services and wanted to see that in myself. He turned out to be a Google Student Innovator: a program where he was trained in GCP and given the right to distribute cloud credits and Google Merch as one of two on-campus representatives.
  • First thing I did when I got back that weekend, was reach out to him and other program leads and do all things needed to become a Google Student Innovator. Which I did. I had already worked on a ton of Firebase projects but this now gave me exposure to the 101 cloud services such as compute.
  • I distributed $15k+ computing credits to 300+ students/professionals and hosted Google Cloud Platform workshops at Queens College as part of 200 ambassadors nationwide. I represented with Google at hackathons and mentored competitors on best practices in MVP of web/mobile apps and introduced open-source software and agile development to 100+ students new to programming.

Codepath

Software Engineering Fellow, iOS Bootcamp

Sep 2018 – May 2019 · 8 mos · New York City Metropolitan Area

  • In 2018, I was eager to grasp mobile development as I saw hackathon projects were primarily web. I took this as a once-come opportunity to learn all aspects of mobile development from design/wireframing, to building UI/UX and connecting APIs and databases. This was a home run investment as I have won many hackathons since...success is when opportunity meets preparation backed by vision.

Kentrolms

Software Engineer Intern, Front-end Web

Jun 2018 – Aug 2018 · 2 mos

  • In 2018, this was my first internship experience. No pay, forever grateful. Prior to this, my resume experience was fluff and I used to put my class projects above exp. section as I hadn't had much to show for. I reached out to a senior on the campus incubator and sold myself that I would do anything for a chance to be his"shadow." His bold startup idea was a better version of Blackboard for students.
  • I would say I didn't do much in this role. But I was moved for a lifetime. I saw how real, seasoned developers worked in sprints and agile between design, product and leadership. This at the time was a 10-person company that met over the weekend. I gathered so much data and drive from the founder who I asked to "shadow" that even though I hadn't written nor understood any JS code, my subconscious being around him would directly set me up for the accomplishments I would garner after.
  • Specifically: the founder was interning at JP Morgan and instilled in me the importance of JP Morgan's Code for Good Hackathon. Few months after, I won first place at that hackathon and received a 43/hr offer from them without a single interview. Furthermore, he learned to code winning-hackathon-projects and code his "startup" from the JS skills he learned from Cuny Tech Prep web bootcamp. Since then I had made it a goal to join that bootcamp as well. From the JS skills exposed to me at Cuny Tech Prep, today, I code my own "side-hustles."

Cuny i-corps

Project Manager, Startup Fellowship

Apr 2018 – May 2018 · 1 mo · Greater New York City Area

  • In 2018, I was absorbed by idea that on summer days it was almost impossible for me and my friends to set up field for football. Had a portion of us came a bit earlier, we could secure the field. Pyku was an app to find local groups to reserve public crowded spots for other groups in exchange for some cash.
  • This fellowship completely evolved my mindset from "creating cool ideas" to "problem solving". We learned to ascertain MVP pain points, create customer avatars, and map out financial projections for investors. At the end, we were recognized by investors and judges on demo day and received a stipend from Capital One Investing for Good. This is how I first got involved with Capital One where I later interned and received a full-time offer by the end of my sophomore year.
  • Putting my-self out there, building relationships has paid its dividends especially when trying to break barriers in job-hunting from non-target schools.
