• Employing Neural Network Models to Obtain Accurate Positional Coordinates and Classify Malawi Cichlids
• Identified and tagged cichlids in videoframes in complex backgrounds by using an annotation tool developed by the McGrath Lab - an image processing pipeline
• Developed a python script to compare the framewise annotation results from different users and to augment the videoframes of the training data in order to improve the accuracy of the neural network models
• Applying machine-learning approaches to automatically quantify courtship and social behavior in cichlids while they are engaged in building bowers
• Currently implementing a pipeline that employs the Faster R-CNN model to accurately predict the gender & position of the cichlids and to identify patterns in their movements

• Manipulated Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data to obtain variants by using the tool Galaxy
