  • Took a deliberate break to run a personal R&D lab focused on applied AI, treating it as a sandbox to learn, build, and ship across multiple domains.
  • Built and tested AI-first systems end-to-end: from Naive RAG and GraphRAG to a custom hybrid retrieval architecture. Hacked open-source stacks like Graphiti, FastGraphRAG, and nano-graphRAG to their limits before developing an enhanced Naive RAG framework tuned for accuracy and interpretability.
  • Worked hands-on with OpenAI and Groq models (including GPT OSS 120B for fast inference), Whisper Large V3 for speech processing, and a backend stack spanning Python, Postgres with PGVector, Neo4j, Supabase, and Google Cloud.
  • Explored agentic AI, graph-based reasoning, and multi-modal data ingestion, with projects spanning renewables, smart grid analytics, and most recently defence-tech opportunities in India.
  • Early experiments included rapid prototyping using Gemini CLI, Qwen CLI, Claude Code, Cursor, and Warp, evolving from playful builds on Lovable and Bolt.dev to serious systems work. Exploring Langfuse for observability.
