  • Worked in the department of supply chain management on developing a Kitting Model on TCF line.
  • A growing number of product variants often result in more part numbers & delivering them in the traditional way with continuous supply & line side stores becomes a problem as it demands an increase in the line side storage area which indeed results in longer operator walking & searching times at the assembly line.
  • To overcome these issues & incorporating the idea of lean manufacturing, Kitting is done which is nothing but delivering components & subassemblies in predetermined quantities placed in specific containers.
  • After the completion of the internship, I was awarded a Letter Of Recommendation by the Head Of the Department.

  • Completed Projects on Tyre Yard Management, Tail Light Harnessing & Assisted in Elimination of RPM setting process.
  • Excessive chaos occurring at the tyre yard was studied & corrective measures were proposed resulting in smooth functioning.
  • There were no fixed clamping positions for the tail light wires. OK trucks (i.e. ready to be rolled out) were studied & clamping positions were generalised. It helped in saving the time to study the whole circuit.
  • A lot of variations were observed in the idling RPM of trucks which resulted in an additional operation of setting it to the desired value. Clear actionable insights were generated regarding why the problem was occurring & corrective measures were taken accordingly.
