Pratik Totawar — Operations Associate
For someone who has always been drawn to the rhythm of how things work — from markets and policies to people and platforms — studying Economics at IIT Roorkee hasn’t just been an academic pursuit; it’s been a lens to understand Bharat at scale. Somewhere between data sets, street-level observations, and late-night ideation with peers, I’ve come to realize that development isn’t just about GDP or graphs — it’s about dignity, decentralization, and how Bharat tells her own story through local economies, cultures, and contradictions. Some questions I keep circling back to: What would economic policy look like if designed not from Delhi boardrooms, but from district-level aspirations? How do we bridge the gap between elite frameworks and lived realities — especially when Bharat is so much more than just India? And most importantly — where are the spaces where young Indians can think freely, debate honestly, and build without being boxed into binaries like Left vs Right? I’m not here with readymade models — I’m here with a hunger to listen, question, experiment, and build. I thrive in spaces where research meets real work, where teams challenge each other to think deeper, and where vision doesn’t come at the cost of empathy. Whether through policy research, grassroots projects, or narrative-building, my work is increasingly anchored in a single pursuit: to help reimagine Bharat not just as an emerging economy, but as a self-aware civilizational economy. If this resonates with you — let’s connect. I’m always up for a thoughtful conversation and the kind of questions that stay with you long after the discussion ends.
