• While working with textiles and fashion what, I found what really inspired me was telling stories through color and materials and the strategy behind it. Post my Masters degree I decided to pursue careers from apparel to hard goods working as a CMF designer at Samsung Electronics. I love the challenge of pushing the boundaries on materials and colors that are typically not expected on appliances and turning them into something emotional and inspiring that's relevant for each brand.

• Jamdani is an age old beautiful weaving tradition originated from West Bengal, India. With moving time and demand, weavers started practicing this craft in various parts of India. Assam, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Varanasi are areas where jamdani is being woven by weavers.
• As a part of this craft documentation, we studied the craft in socio cultural aspects, getting to know how the technical details of this weaving tradition.

• As a part of craft documentation, Narsapur crochet lace park was studied as a craft cluster. Women from adjoining villages of East godavari region used to crochet in their leisure time, but with growing market demands of their hand made products these clusters were developed. We studied the craft and tried to absorb the skills, details and strengths of the craft We also tried to educate the artisans through casual discussions about basics of designs, current trends and market demands.
