• Leading "Value Recovery Platform" and "Retail Procurement" charters with a total strength of around 35 people (including 2 Engineering managers).
• Went through a very enriching "Concept to Cash" journey for "Value Recovery Platform". This platform now owns all aspects of reverse logistics starting from recapture/sourcing (C2B side) of products(via Returns, Exchanges, BuyBacks), condition assessment (product grading at multiple places) and routing, to the end lifecycle management aspects of these goods (via liquidation, refurbishment, refinishing, disposal).
• Influenced and guided the development of multiple retail products (contract management
• platform, Order Management Systems, Fulfillment Systems, Master Data Systems) towards a platform oriented approach. This helped us in taking the first step towards envisioning "Retail as a Service" and future monetization prospects of our softwares.
• Worked as a Scrum coach and was responsible for leading the Agile transformation of around 7 scrum teams on the retail floor. This transformation resulted in a very motivated, high performing and self sustaining teams with a consistent velocity and say/do across teams.
• Invested significant effort on getting the right structure & culture in the teams, L&d plan for team, hiring process interventions, alternate models for contract based development, AOP planning, Talent segregation philosophy and quarterly OKR planning for my teams.

• Inherited a team of 12 engineers. Effectively worked with them in taking the seller fulfilment charter forward. - Introduced concepts on CQRS for scaling up the seller dashboard to around 1L sellers.
• Introduced Service Orchestration and guided the team on an effective implementation which enabled faster and easy of development for supporting various fulfilment models for different categories. This enabled by tech to catchup with biz requirements at a faster pace.
• On the people front, helped grow multiple folks in the team both at junior (SDE1/2) and senior levels (SDE3/4).
• Seeded a new charter and a built a team called "Value Recovery" from scratch. The idea was to ensure maximum value extraction (though activities like liquidation, refurbishment) from items which are coming back to Flipkart (Returns, exchanges).

• Part of Seller-Fulfilment team in Flipkart Marketplace Seller Platform group.
• Built an Effective Notification Service (S.I.M.O.N) which manages the frequency and preferences of the communication channel on which the sellers need transactional messages. Due to this launch there was a 20% immediate reduction in number of messages to sellers (due to aggregation of messages) and an increased click and open rate of messages (due to less noise). This service also formed the base for future enhancements for seller desktop notifications and mobile notifications.
• Conceptualized and Built Managed Fulfilment (MFF) capability for seller fulfillment. MFF as a logic detects the fulfillment performance in real time and avoids excess orders getting accumulated at a problematic seller's end. Thus saving the seller from any penalties due to breaches.

• Drove changes from OMS (Order management Side) for launch of Seller Marketplace (External sellers) on Flipkart.
• Lead (technically) a team of 3 engineers, which handles Returns, Refunds and Replacements at Flipkart.
• Launch of self serve returns on Flipkart.com . Implemented a rule engine (J.A.R.V.I.S) which mandates the return policy on Flipkart website while raising returns. The same engine also controls the material condition assessment and material movement rules for all return items (which warehouse, which area in warehouse based on condition). This launch reduced a huge number of Customer support calls for returns and helped in streamlining the return management on the supply chain side.

• Worked as a consultant for Goldman Sachs for the Compliance Tech division. - Owned up 2 modules of Regulatory Employee Profile solution (REPS) which was used to capture employee disclosures.
• Led development of Disclosure Tracking System(DTS) from scratch. This was used to track the regulatory filings of employee data to closure. This entire project from requirements to deployment was done by a team of 2 people.
• Apart from working on the client side, as a part of the parent company "headstrong" i was also working as a lead for other consultants working in the same location.
• Awarded many times during this duration (Platinum Award, Order of Merit and many other awards) for my work and ownership, both from "headstrong" and client side.
