Ladbible group

Community Social Editor

Mar 2019Jul 2019 · 4 mos · Manchester, United Kingdom

  • My active role at LADbible Group is Community Social Editor, which requires me to work from project to project across UNILAD & LADbible (and it's other pages). This mainly consists of the launch/growth of Facebook groups, assisting in the growth/strategy of other pages and working on other avenues for the business to explore.
  • Projects:
  • Strategising and launching an entirely new subsidiary, 'Relaxing Stuff', a collaborated brand deal with UK mobile phone provider '3' that aims to make the internet a calmer place by posting oddly satisfying videos. This platform is currently sitting at 8000~ page likes on Facebook and over 41,000 followers on Instagram.
  • Strategising and launching an entirely new group, 'Game of Thrones: Westeros Posting', a group based around the finale series of Game of Thrones, which amassed over 100,000 people in under six weeks, and engaged up to 3 million people.
  • Strategising and launching an entirely new group, 'Marvel Superhero Posting', a group based around the launch of Avengers: Endgame and created to maintain a consistent hub for all following movies, books or comics for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • Strategising and launching an entirely new group, 'Netflix Bangers', a group based around Netflix and what new, fresh uploads have been added. This focuses primarily on users interacting with one another and forming meaningful social interactions between group members.
  • Strategising and launching an entirely new group, 'Backpacker's Guide To Travelling', a group based around travelling and for other adventurers to recommend places to go, along with tips and tales from exploring.
  • Rebranding LADbible Videos so it is aligned with UNILAD Community, generating different content from a different audience.
  • Rebranding 'Love Island x Pretty 52' to 'Love Island Drama' in the run up to Love Island's yearly TV cycle, creating a hub for people to discuss an dynamic-changing trend.

Community Manager

  • After managing UNILAD's main Facebook page for just under a year, I noticed the trend of Facebook Groups and the impact it was having on the platform. To stay ahead of the curve, I forecast Groups being one of Facebook's next big project and went on to build a strategy for each group and execute aforementioned strategy, successfully.
  • UNILAD Community - 100,500~ active members.
  • UNILAD Community is a Facebook group in which users are encouraged to post their own video content from their phones with the hopes of appearing of the UNILAD Facebook page. We have non-exclusively licensed thousands of video from this and exclusively licensed hundreds, which have gone on to be sold. UNILAD Community pushed new content on to Facebook and on to the internet, opened up a library of content for each page and generated revenue through license sales.
  • UNILAD Adventure Community - 76,000~ active members.
  • UNILAD Adventure Community is a Facebook group in which users are encouraged to post photos and videos of their travelling experiences, to engage with other travelling enthusiasts and for us to gain trending content from the group.
  • UNILAD Tech Community - 26,000~ active members.
  • UNILAD Tech Community is a Facebook group, in which users are encouraged to discuss the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs, along with pushing our own content to perform better.
  • UNILAD Gaming Community - 25,000~ active members.
  • UNILAD Gaming Community is a Facebook group in which users are encouraged to discuss the latest games and downloadable content that has been released, along with helping fellow gamers through any parts they may be stuck with. This group also saw a huge surge of content creators with YouTube channels reaching out to UNILAD Gaming and asking how they could appear on the page.
  • UNILAD Sound Community - 17,500~ active members.
  • UNILAD Sound is a Facebook group that encourages budding and aspiring musicians to push their content on a centralised hub.
