At OneWorldNation (OWN), we were building a casual gaming ecosystem on top of the blockchain, for the developing markets. A mobile first platform that offered a mix of traditional games like Ludo, alongwith modern casino games like Crash.
In a little less than 18 months, we built 7 games and acquired ~100k users across 8 countries (India, Philippines, Brazil). We scaled to ~$2 mil ARR, with ~70% revenue coming from India.
With the new GST law on real money gaming introduced by the Government of India in August 2023, it was no longer viable to run the venture profitably. Hence, we decided to pivot.

Aasaanjobs was started with an objective to solve the entry level blue collar hiring in India. India has one of the youngest population in the world and a technology platform to enable the jobs marketplace is what we set out to build.
Over the 5 years journey at the company, we expanded to over 30 cities in India, catering to several job roles - Sales, Delivery boys, Warehouse executives etc. We worked with 50+ enterprises and over 400 mid-market companies in India, helping them hire ~40,000 people every year.
We scaled to ~$50 mil ARR and sold the company in an all cash deal to OLX (a Prosus group Company) in December 2018.
