About

Hi, I’m Frances Coronel—a senior software engineer, speaker, mentor, and Corgi mom. 👩🏽‍💻 🚀 🐾 I’ve been paid to code since 2015, focusing on core feature and growth teams, where I honed my skills in React and TypeScript. Collaborating closely with design and product, I thrive on building user-focused solutions that make a real impact. ✨ Right now, I’m a senior software engineer on the Messaging team at Slack, focused on building the best in class platform for getting work done. I love being able to contribute to a product that empowers high-impact teams all around the world. 🌎 Outside of work, I’m passionate about speaking, mentoring, and teaching. I aim to lead by example and inspire the next generation of software engineers. 🚀 As a proud Peruvian-American, I’m committed to championing diversity and uplifting underrepresented voices in tech. 🇵🇪 I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. I currently live in the Bay Area (East Bay) with my two Corgis. When I'm not spending quality time with my doggos, I enjoy scuba diving and watching Netflix. 🤿 🎥 ...
