Indian film producer, an Academy Award winner, and BAFTA nominee, and amongst the first producers from India to be invited to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Founder of Sikhya Entertainment, a Mumbai-based production house. Produced close to 30 feature films, including ground-breaking cinema such as The Lunchbox (2013), Monsoon Shootout (2013), Masaan (2015), and Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), all of which received critical acclaim at prestigious international festivals such as Cannes, TIFF, and Sundance. One of the executive producers behind the documentary short film Period. End of Sentence, which won an Academy Award® in 2019. A recipient of the prestigious French Honour "Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres". Awarded the prestigious Sloan Science and Film grant in 2019 by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Passionate about issues of representation and diversity in the film industry and discovering, amplifying & distributing the work of Indian women filmmakers across the globe. Most recently, became the first producer in India to win an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short, for Indian produced 'The Elephant Whisperers’ (2023). Producer of India’s first high-octane actioner - KILL and thriller drama web-series, Gyaarah Gyaarah (11:11), a teenage romance titled ‘Gutar Gu’ on Amazon MX Player. Upcoming projects include and a first-of-its-kind Netflix documentary film on globally celebrated Hip Hop Artist - Yo Yo Honey Singh.

  • The Lunchbox (Dabba) and Monsoon Shootout both were selected for the International Critics' Week and a midnight screening at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, respectively, The Hollywood Reporter called her "most prolific producers of a new wave of cinema" while The Hollywood Reporter's "2012 Women in Entertainment special", placed her amongst "12 international players to watch"; India Today has credited her for giving a facelift to independent cinema, and bridging "the gap between Indian films and foreign buyers and distributors."
  • Other films are That Girl in Yellow Boots (2011), Trishna (2011), Shaitan (2011), Michael (2011), Aiyya(2012), The Ashram (2018). She was an Executive Producer for films like Hamid (2018), Ajji (2017), Visaaranai (2015), Taj Mahal (2015) and Rang Rasiya (2008). She has also produced shorts like Plus Minus (2018), Time Machine (2016), Chakshoo (2014), Geek Out (2013) Café Regular, Cairo (2012) and Tubelight Ka Chaand (2010). Her film, ‘Peddlers’ was selected at the International Critics' Week, won rave reviews and opened new markets for Indian Cinema.
