• Kicoshep-K is the now famous NGO based in Kibera, Nairobi, that helps people in so many ways cope with life in the world's largest slum. While the heart of their work is in the city slum districts, Kicoshep run a number of self-help programmes all over Kenya, inlcuding HIV/AIDS testing and counselling services.
• The project was the focus of the 2007 Comic Relief Red Nose Day event with the video diaries from Ant & Dec and Billy Connolly coming from the Kicoshep Primary School located in the Kibera slum, which educates and supports over 350 children, most of whom are orphans.
• I was honoured this year to have been asked to join Kicoshep's board.

• CBN is a consulting group which grew out of the community-owned broadband schemes when first generation broadband was scarce.
