About

As a well-rounded technologist with wide-ranging interests, I'm keenly aware of the current state-of-the-art and have more than a feeling about where things are headed in the future. I was the guy programming in his bedroom in the 1980s; on the internet since 1995; sharing photos online years before Instagram; writing casual games years before Candy Crush; and making touch screen software years before the iPhone. So far I've written desktop software that later became a standard operating system feature; a casual video game that was featured worldwide by both online and offline publications and received over a million downloads; websites you'll have used for both business and pleasure; mobile apps that will have made you smile; and award winning video games. For three years I worked at Apple as a Technology Evangelist, supporting agencies and brands across the EMEIA and APAC regions and reporting to the Product team in Cupertino. Prior to that I worked as a consultant and developer, after gaining a BSc in Computer Science from Liverpool University in 1998. As an Independent Game Developer I created games for a variety of platforms. My game YOYOZO was featured in Ars Technica's "Best Games of 2023" alongside Super Mario Wonder, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Baldur's Gate 3 and more. I now head up Games @ Perplexity.
