Process Design Engineer Intern

During my internship at SRF Ltd., I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of process design engineering through several key projects. I worked on SMDS preparation, where I developed a deeper understanding of the materials and specifications needed for process design. Additionally, I contributed to BFD and process descriptions, ensuring that the chemical processes were accurately represented through Block Flow Diagrams. Another significant aspect of my work was equipment sizing, where I assisted in the sizing of critical equipment, ensuring their operational efficiency and reliability in industrial applications.
This internship significantly enhanced my skills in process design, energy optimization, and equipment sizing, while also providing me with a solid understanding of large-scale industrial processes.

I am honored to have participated in Women of Mettle Season 7 by Tata Steel, where over 1500 students from 55+ premier technical colleges across India competed. After being selected among the Top 50 students nationwide in the first round, I had the privilege of working with a mentor from Tata Steel on a case study titled "Fire in COG Line in Absence of Hot Vicinity."
I was thrilled to be among the Top 10 in the Pre-Finale and Finale rounds, and this experience has been a tremendous learning opportunity. I am grateful for the chance to contribute ideas and insights to the steel industry, and for the invaluable mentorship I received throughout this journey.
