About

I obtained my Ph.D. in Statistics at Purdue University under the direction of Professor R.W. Doerge. My Ph.D. research focussed on developing a computationally efficient and practical Bayesian framework for analyzing high-dimensional genomic data. I analyzed microarray and next-generation sequencing data by extending variational methods from machine learning. Specialties: * Statistical Data Analysis (exploratory and confirmatory); in particular hierarchical Bayesian modeling and data visualization. * Interplay of machine learning and statistical methods in statistical computing in order to take advantage of computer architecture. * Analysis of data from recent biotechnological advances (e.g., next-generation sequencing). * Statistical Computing (R in particular). * Statistical consulting and statistical design of experiments.
