My research primarily focuses on Computational Cell Structural Biology with projections into Pattern Mining, Applied Machine Learning and Deep Learning and ArtScience. I have always been involvement in a variety of projects with many researchers and research labs. This trained me in various aspects of building and conducting effective collaborations and working together along with researchers from different domains.

I work as a part of the Pancreatic Beta Cell Consortium lead by my co-advisor Ray Stevens, by bringing together leading scientists from various disciplines, namely cryo-electron tomography, proteomics, X-ray crystallography, protein modeling, computational biology, etc. and artists from USC's world-best Cinema school, to build a multiscale spatiotemporal 3D model of the human pancreatic beta-cell. The 3D dynamic understanding of the beta-cell is important for tackling one of the fast-growing disease, diabetes.
