My goal as a simple boy from India is to take that responsibility - create a cutting-edge deeptech R&D startup with the mission of building safe and intelligent neural interfaces that merge seamlessly with the human brain for pleasure and happiness neurobiologically. Brain interfaces that are accessible for every human and for the civilizational progress.

  • Always grateful ! Chosen initially in the top 50, travelled to IIT Delhi, received world class mentorship from veterans of Samsung that have scaled products to billions of users, then was selected in the top 10, over the next few months received brilliant guidance on fixing the blindspots of our device. Sleeping every alternate night during those days and incisively implementing the precious feedback with our team, I got an incredible opportunity to experientially learn about leveraging data-driven insights towards problem-solving, researching and prototyping the viability, cascading the decision making process, discovering the GTM and effectively creating a strong social impact with a novel solution, and scaling products technologically, ultimately leading to becoming one of the top 3 grant recipient and winners out of 18,000+ applicants.

Youngest Winner and Grant Recipient in the United Nations Development Programme's YCL

Jun 2023Present · 2 yrs 9 mos

  • Becoming the youngest winner and grant recipient in the United Nations Development Programme's Youth Co:Lab was an exhilarating journey. Throughout this incredible experience, I had the privilege of being mentored by a world class exemplary panel of clinical experts, domain specialists and influential leaders who have dedicated their careers to amplifying social impact for billions of people.
  • As the program unfolded, I realized that our initial focus, which centered around a nonsurgical brain modulation device to alleviate stress, was just the tip of the iceberg. It was challenging at times since our mentors were relentlessly pushing us to expand our horizons and giving strategic guidance to expand bigger. It was during this transformative period that Sputnik Brain metamorphosized on a profound journey to lay the blueprint of re-engineering the future of our human civilization.
  • Our vision evolved to become a catalyst for human happiness/pleasure biologically, a beacon that could transform the way humans process productive pain(think hitting the gym or doing those boring excel sheets). We laid our foundational thesis for the long term, which is overcoming demanding intellectual/physical challenges by converting them into pleasurable tasks through harnessing the power of Dopaminergic circuits in the brain. This enhanced focus for the long term was not just about addressing stress but laying the pillar to catapult the entire human species into a new realm of advancement and progress, one in which both the journey(productive but painful activities) and the destination(goals that lead to growth and development of the individual) could become euphoric biologically.

  • Sputnik Brain is a Samsung, United Nations Development Programme, IIT Madras and Emergent Ventures(Thiel Foundation) backed deeptech startup building a non-surgical neural interface to democratize happiness/stress alleviation in the brain, through safe, scalable and cutting-edge neurotechnology.
  • With the mental health crisis of stress damaging 1 in 3 adults, existing toxic exogenous alternatives causing chronic conditions and irreversible damage to human health, there is a massive unmet need for a safe, non-exogenous & biomarker-driven neurotechnology that can sustainably deliver stress-alleviation.
  • We aim to reimagine this by building clinically validated, scalable, frictionless and seamless neural interfaces to unleash a stress-free human civilization.

Swag learning

Founder

Nov 2020May 2021 · 6 mos

  • Swag Learning explored different technological approaches of how learning outcomes could be improved through making it engaging. One lesson learned was to have a laser focus on a specific application until scale and most of all, have a well experienced team who knows how to build various pieces of the solution before you even articulate it. Crashed harder than an Internet Explorer browser back then :( Was at an all-time low when it crashed and made me more stressed and fatigued than a truck spring, but it also pointed me to the crux of the human experience, the human biology, which plays an instrumental role in the decision making process, both in the market and outside the market, this practical insight combined with a ton of neuroscience research then prepared me for the OG of all my ventures next :D

Clarila

Founder

Feb 2019Dec 2020 · 1 yr 10 mos

  • 1st startup when I was an 18 year old in 2019, when Generative AI was still in its super early research phase. Clarila aimed to solve the issue of personalization & participation in the classroom through AI and gaming. I learnt the tumultuous journey of starting up and my personal zeal of automating human teaching through Generative Adversarial Networks was the fundamental motivation behind it. I could hardly even gather the budgets to build what we wanted to build, but the stuff I learnt structurally and unstructurally in the process included Primary Market Research, Problem Statement identification, Problem Cycle formation, TAM(Total addressable market) with top-down & bottom-up analysis, Beachhead market fit, Product Alignment with Persona, Customer's Decision Making Process with the Decision Making Unit, Risk Mitigation Strategy, Value Proposition articulation & Core Competency identification. It crashed as some of the crucial team members quit during a formative stage, nevertheless, the experience in its peaks and troughs was invaluable and made me understand the fundamentals of starting up (and stopping down)
