Prior to Chiratae, I co-led Accenture Ventures which partners with, invests in and acquires disruptive technology businesses / startups. I have led Accenture India’s first transaction when Byte Prophecy was acquired in May 2020. Before Accenture, I played varying roles at a proprietary VC office where I was - a) End-to-end Lead of the firm’s Investment into Digital Media-tech platform to launch India’s No:1 English News platform ($17 Mn) b) Investment Committee Member of the firm’s Investments ($7Mn) in E-grocery, Edtech, Fintech and Cleantech startups. c) Board Member on Asianet News Media & Entertainment; Part of CXO team which was raising funds from PE funds One of my most satisfying roles was as the CEO of Asianet News Digital, where in 18 months I took a legacy media brand digital and made it Top-5 Vernacular news product & Top-20 News platforms in the country. From a 15-member, 2.5 Cr ARR to 180+ members, 6 languages, 1 acquisition, 30 Cr ARR business - Asianet News clearly redefined South India Digital media growth. I am an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore and a Computer Science Engineer from University of Madras. In my personal capacity, I am also the Founder & Investment committee member of IIM-Indore’s Alumni Angel fund 1 - a sector agnostic early stage fund of 90 LPs. I have led 6 of the 11 commitments made across Consumertech and B2B Enterprise tech startups. I am an Angel Investor with a Global and Indian portfolio of 25+ companies including Rupifi,Blusmart to name a few. I mentor and advise a few startups in Mediatech and Fintech domains and serve on the advisory board of i2E Labs, a social enterprise incubator in collaboration with Telangana State.
