Mr SGK Kishore is an Electronics & Communications Engineer from Andhra University and holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. A Rank holder during Engineering and a Gold Medalist during his Masters with a perfect-10 GPA, His illustrious career spans over 30+ years across Government and Private sectors. A 1989 Batch Officer of the elite Indian Administrative Service (IAS),He has held several important positions with the Government of India including: o District Collector of Palakkad, Kerala o Vice Chairman of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) o South India Head for Food Corporation of India (FCI). In 2006,He resigned from IAS and took up a senior leadership role with the GMR Group. Over the years, within GMR Group, he has been the CEO of major Urban Infra/SEZ & City Development projects. In 2013, he took over as CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport with overall responsibility for the unique Hyderabad Airport Eco-system spanning the airport, the Airport City and various allied businesses. Under his leadership, Hyderabad airport has set milestones/benchmarks in growth, customer delight, operational excellence, technological innovations and environmental management e.g.:  Amongst Top 3 airports globally in ACI ASQ for 9 consecutive years in 5-15 million annual passengers category, and ranked World No. 1 in 2016 & 2017  1st airport in India to implement a unique end-to-end E-boarding solution & fully ‘paperless’ travel through the airport for passengers using digital technologies such as Face Recognition  1st airport in Asia-Pacific in its size category to attain ‘Carbon Neutral’ status From June 2020, He took on the role of Executive Director and Chief Innovation Officer for GMR Airports, overseeing the functioning of Hyderabad and other GMR airport sector assets across South India and also leading the innovation efforts across GMR Airports under the ‘GMR Innovex’ banner. He is a director on the board of several GMR Group companies operating across the aviation value chain in sectors such as Air Cargo, Duty Free and Hospitality. He is also a member of the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific Regional Board and an active member of the Governing Board of the Association of Private Airport Operators (APAO), India. He is also a key member of the Digital Cell formed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India to drive the ‘DigiYatra’ initiative focused on formulating National Policy and Standards for supporting New Technology adoption at Airports.
