A litigator who has handled a large array of cases pertaining to Constitutional, Criminal, cybercrime, IPR, corporate and commercial laws, she has also undertaken transactions globally. Ms. Nappinai is Honorary Advisor, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA); Advisor, Maharashtra – Cyber police; Senior Panel Advocate–Central & Western Railways, Government of India. She is a trained Mediator. Ms. Nappinai founded Cyber Saathi - an initiative to empower through knowledge, which launched with focus on child safety online programs. Ms.Nappinai undertakes training in cyber laws and electronic evidence for judiciary (SAARC and Indian Judiciary), Armed Forces, Police, Intelligence Agencies and Industry verticals. Through Cyber Saathi, she undertakes a unique 'Be A Cyber Saathi' program for children, teachers and parents on cybercrime and remedies and prepares them as peer mentors. Ms. Nappinai is Amicus Curiae before Supreme Court in Prajwala v. UOI and was part of the Government Committee formed in the above matter. She has presented, as Expert in Cyber laws before: (i) the Parliamentary Committee on Women Empowerment; (ii). National Cyber Security Centre on India's National Cyber Security Policy 2020-2025; (iii). Amendments to the Information Technology Act, 2000; (iv). Amendments to India's Electronic Evidence laws; (v). Legal aspects of Cryptocurrency; & (vi). Report on Blockchain & Cryptocurrency regulation to the Ministry of Finance. An alumna of the Stanford Centre of Democracy, Development & Rule of law Fellowship USA; Chevening Cyber Governance, policy and cyber security Fellowship, UK and International leadership Program - IPR (IVLP), of the Department of State, USA, Ms. Nappinai has addressed sessions inter alia in cyber laws and IPR at National and International Conferences. Ms. Nappinai is a prolific writer, whose articles have been published in leading National and International publications. She has authored a seminal book on cyberlaws titled “Technology Laws Decoded” (in 2017), which has been well received. Her article on "Rethinking Social Media - Through The Prism Of Freedoms, Liberties & Democracy" is featured in Nani Palkivala's Festschrift Book.
