About

Mission: I aspire to contribute something meaningful to limit the impact of climate change. Highly passionate about renewable energy, energy storage (batteries & fuel cells), electric mobility, critical minerals and anything that’s even remotely associated with greener future. Vision: Innovation as always is the answer to desperate measures. Personally, I feel the challenge lies not in the lack of options at our disposal but to execute and implement those options in a sustainable way to a grand scale in a swift manner. Personal Summary: I am working as Senior Vice President for Battery Cell Technology at Log9 Materials, leading Indian Battery Technology Company. At Log9 we are addressing the long standing problem of range anxiety and performance reliability in EVs. We are developing battery cells that can be instacharged, have extremely long cycle life and perform significantly better than the standard cells. All that without compromising the safety which many a times takes backseat in the industry. We are in the process of commissioning our commercial battery cell line which will be the biggest of its kind in India. I have four years of experience of working on various battery chemistries (LTO, LFP, NMC, Al-Air & Supercapacitors) and leading a team that not only developed the product at R&D stage but perfect it to manufacturing level. While developing battery technologies, my team has been able to generate multiple Intellectual properties on battery materials, cell design and system design & configuration. I completed my Bachelors in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from IIT Roorkee post which I moved to University of Alberta (UoA), Canada for my Masters. At UoA I worked extensively on polymer gels and their application as semi-solid electrolyte in energy storage. Soon after my Masters I joined University of Toronto as Connaught Scholar for my Doctorate. However, my desire to have broader & wider impact convinced me to drop out from PhD program and venture into the startup world.
