Vinay lives in Atlanta, Georgia with two kids and his wife, Chanchal. He is a certified Toastmaster and has authored a children’s book, He earned a karate black belt but cannot kill a mosquito. He spends his time playing tennis or cracking a joke that no one understands. He never says no to a cup of tea, and can eat 12-inch sandwich without guilt. Vinay has been providing technographics, contact data, and business unit intelligence to companies since 2016. He understood the nitty gritty details of Strategy and GTM planning working with more than 150 clients. He led OceanFrogs to be featured by Forrester Research as one of the prominent Sales Intelligence vendors. Vinay is also the investor and advisor to MagicTap.events. Vinay Moderates a GTM community of 250 SaaS and IT services companies in the USA/India. Vinay started his career with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was the lead modeler to build a line capacity model using linear programming techniques for the entire railroads. He was instrumental in commercializing GE Energy’s turbine warranty models using Monte Carlo simulation techniques. He won one of the first customers using Eka’s analytics platforms and built OEE framework-based tools. Vinay was one of the earliest modelers (with his colleague Muthu) involved in conducting crew scheduling modeling at Indian Railways. He spent years consulting with mining, oil, and gas companies in Australia and Canada during his IBM and Eka stints. Vinay kickstarted Eka's journey by building products towards traceability, and OEE (overall equipment effectiveness). Vinay earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, South Carolina, USA. His PhD was towards helping airlines develop better crew scheduling under uncertain weather and maintenance conditions. Vinay applied human factors principles to conduct better aircraft inspections with Dr. Gramopadhye and Dr. Melloy. He also helped Dr. Leonard and Dr. Kurz build course curricula for decision support systems.
