• I led Product Experience at Microsoft R&D in Hyderabad, India. I reported into the Corporate Vice President, Managing Director of Microsoft R&D, India. My team owned the Product Experience across all products developed at Microsoft, India. The Microsoft India Development Center is a 1700 people strong org. My team was organized across the 3 different streams –
• Consumer & Emerging Markets stream,
• Information Worker stream and
• Server & Tools stream
• These included products like Bing, Office Mobile, SharePoint, Microsoft CRM, Windows, Windows Live, Visual Studio, DPM, BizTalk and Technologies for Emerging Markets.

• I headed Product Management, Catalog Management and Customer Connect at Myntra. I built and scaled these 3 functions from scratch and currently manage about 300 personnel across these 3 functions. During my time here we went from <10 orders a day to >10000 orders a day and I successfully helped raise financing in a couple of rounds from the investors.
• I was in charge of product strategy, product definition and bring the product vision to market. I owned the end to end customer experience which included the website and any one to one interaction between myntra and the customer. I shepherded the transition of Myntra.com from being a personalisation site in 2010 to being a full fledged fashion and lifestyle ecommerce site.
• I was responsible for all areas of Products at Myntra - From design and user experience through pricing, discounting, warehousing, logistics to payment and data operations. My team defined all the use cases and scenarios for which we built most of the technology components from the ground up. We rolled out the warehouse management system and the logistics management system to manage the phenomenal growth our supply chain had to go through. We also completely revamped the customer experience completely on the website right from product selection to the checkout flow to improve the conversion over 150% over the course of a year. My team obsessed over the details and used data to drive most decisions
• My catalog team defined, operationalized and optimized how the catalog was represented on the portal which was by far the single largest factor influencing the customer purchase intent.
• My customer connect team provided our users and customers with the 1 to 1 attention and serviced all the queries that they have via email or phone.

• I built and was the country head of the Product Experience team at Google, India in Bangalore. I drove the Product design and development process, monitored and gave feedback on all user facing projects developed in Google India. These products catered to Emerging and Developed Markets – Consumers, Publishers and Advertisers. These included products on Google Labs, Google Search, AdWords, AdSense, Google Maps, Google News, Google Finance and Orkut.

• As the first Designer at Google Seattle, I was chartered with building the User Experience team. I grew the Product Experience team while monitoring and giving feedback on all projects including Google Talk, Google Video, Google Pack, Google Desktop, Webmaster and Advertising applications.

• My work from 2003 at Microsoft was focused on driving the User Interface design of the revamped command model in the authoring applications of Word, Excel and PowerPoint which replaced Menus and Toolbars from the previous verions.
• Between 2001 and 2003 I drove the MSCIW project which won the IDSA/Businessweek IDEA gold award 2003 in the Design Exploration category. I drove the conception of the project; lead the team which designed the UI for the installation, pitched the idea to peers and senior executives, and implemented the final designs as prototypes.
